Work Package 4: INDUSTRY 4.0 ZERO-DEFECT PILOT PRODUCTION

Objectives - In WP4 the digital process chains concepts developed within the different ESR projects will be implemented and validated on the factory floor at selected industrial partners in industrial conditions in order to achieve Industry 4.0 Zero-Defect pilot productions. Depending on the type of digital process chain developed in WP3, different digital Industry 4.0 manufacturing technologies will be applied (e.g. BigData analytics, IoT for in-process monitoring, collaborative robots and AR/VR in assembly, etc.).

Description of Work and Role of Partners

Task 4.1 Pilot production validation for DIGIMAN 4.0 manufacturing platforms (Lead: KIT, Participants: ALL BENEFICIARIES, (ALL PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS))

To validate the digital process chains developed in WP3 in an industrial setting, the digital manufacturing processes within the different ESR projects will be further developed and integrated on the factory floor at the Industrial Participating Organizations Pilot production runs will be conducted to achieve a robust proof-of-technology.

Task 4.2 Zero-defect process/product quality assurance for DIGIMAN 4.0 manufacturing platforms (Lead: TEK, Participants: ALL BENEFICIARIES, (ALL PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS))

To validate the fingerprint concept developed in WP3 in an industrial setting, the quality delivered by the DIGIMAN 4.0 manufacturing platforms be evaluated to achieve zero-defect production. Pilot production runs will be conducted to achieve a robust proof-of-technology.
