Work Package 3: DIGITAL MANUFACTURING PROCESS CHAINS

Objectives - In WP3 digital technologies and precision manufacturing process technologies are integrated into digital manufacturing process chains that will be designed and implemented by the different ESR projects. The process windows and process/product parameters established in WP2 will be combined with the relevant digital manufacturing technologies in order to improve the existing process chains and realize the digital manufacturing process chains for all ESR projects. In WP3, digital technologies, process monitoring and quality control techniques will be employed for the research.

Description of Work and Role of Partners

Task 3.1 Digital process chains for DIGIMAN 4.0 product applications (Lead: POLIMI, Participants: ALL BENEFICIARIES, (ALL PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS))

The objective of Task 3.1 is to implement and validate the integration of digital technologies and precision manufacturing technologies into coherent zero-defect digital manufacturing process chains for the production of the DIGIMAN 4.0 product application and to ensure the conformance to specifications of all tolerances in the component by means of controlling/measuring selected features. The ESR wills develop and test the digital process chains concepts in relation to the applications defined for their respective projects.

Task 3.2 Digital process chains for DIGIMAN 4.0 processes (Lead: POLIMI, Participants: ALL BENEFICIARIES, (ALL PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS))

The objective of Task 3.2 is to implement and validate the integration of digital technologies and precision manufacturing technologies into coherent zero-defect digital manufacturing process chains for the establishment of DIGIMAN 4.0 production processes and to achieve digitally-enabled zero-defect manufacturing The ESR wills develop and test the digital process chains concepts in relation to the production processes for their respective projects.
